My name is Katherine and I am certified in many forms of yoga: Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, and Yin but my specialty is Yin. My hope is to help you get unstuck physically and spiritually and find peace and joy. 

What is Yin Yoga?

Our lives are very busy. We go-go-go and hardly give ourselves time to rest. Yin Yoga encourages participants to rest in poses for 3 - 7 minutes.  We will allow gravity and our body weight to relax into the deep tissues called fascia.

Review

I joined Katherine Johns’ yoga class during her training days, mostly out of curiosity—and maybe a little peer pressure. I’d always been low-key terrified of yoga (all that bendy stuff!), but Katherine worked some kind of magic. She made it fun, welcoming, and totally doable—even for someone like me who spends all day wrangling 4th and 5th graders and comes home feeling like a human pretzel. 

She showed me poses that loosen up the knots I’ve earned from grading papers and herding preteens, and I actually look forward to class now. That post-yoga glow is real, y’all. Next time, I’m dragging my husband with me—because if I’m relaxing and stretching, he should be too!
